South Eugene Football Boosters are part of the Friends of South non-profit organization. If your child plays football at South, you are part of our parent group, and we need all the help we can get! Below are some of the specific things we do to help support the team.
Friends of South (FoS) is the non-profit fundraising group made up of South alumni, stakeholders, and current parents. FoS supports ALL South students, including student athletes. South Football Booster funds are housed in the FoS accounts. For more information about Friends of South, visit the website.
First, our job is to raise money for the things the district doesn’t pay for and for the things our coaches need.
Feed the Kids: During the season, we provide team dinners on Thursdays and light meals on game day.
Home Game Logistics: We help organize the Chain Crew and stock and sell concessions. We also organize Senior Night and game day fundraisers.
Coach Stipends: We sometimes pay coaches for off-season work.
Swag for Players and Coaches: We provide the funds for the team and coaches to have matching gear (sweatshirts, t-shirts, shorts).
Sleep Away Camp: We try to raise enough funds so that families don’t have to pay to send their player to the Linfield University Camp.
President - Anna Ingram - The President presides at all meetings of the Booster Club and must have prior experience with the Club. Primary Duties include meeting regularly with the Treasurer to review the organization’s finances, oversee booster committees, and meet regularly with sponsors, coaches, and Campus Administration regarding booster activities.
Vice President - Greg Fortner - Preside at meetings in case of the absence of the president. Help oversee and participate on booster committees.
Treasurer - Anna Ingram (Current) - Work with Friends of South to manage finances, distribute and reimburse payments as needed. Communicate with the Boosters, coaches, and committee members what budget is available. Work with each committee and help them establish a budget for their needs.
Secretary - Duties: keep meeting notes, update contact information from other boosters, and maintain and manage the Parent/Student email lists. The secretary is responsible for keeping accurate records at club meetings and providing monthly meeting minutes to the club members.
Concessions - Duties: We have a lead for concessions, and are partnering with Lacrosse to help us staff the concession stand for game days. But, we would like to start doing concessions for Lacrosse and Flag Football games this coming spring, so if you are available we'd love to see you!
Feed the AXE - Anna is currently doing this, but will need someone to take over once her son graduates next year! Duties: Help coordinate and carry out Team dinners, away games, and pre- and post-game snacks. Team Dinners occur the night before each game. Make assignments, create a digital sign-up for parents, and coordinate with dinner sponsors about Team Dinners and the end-of-year Awards Banquet.
Fundraising and Sponsorships - We need 1 or 2 people who could help manage this. Duties: Create and execute fundraisers to help support the finances need for team supplies, meals, and equipment that may not be covered by school funds. Examples of fundraisers may include 50/50 Raffle sales, car wash, community yard sales, or a direct ask mailer. Contact and acquirer businesses to help sponsor the team through banner sales, program ads, meals for the team, monetary donations, or other types of donations.
Games Day Crew - We had a great response for the Chain Gang Crew in 2025, but it would be great to have someone help organize a Pink Out for cancer awareness in October and to help bridge the gap between the student government, band, cheerleaders, and the football program by coordinating Senior Night, Homecoming, and as well other special halftimes. Communicate with the announcer, for announcements or sponsor "commercials" during quarter breaks, timeouts, and halftimes.
Marketing - Duties: Update and oversee the website and help with social media.
